Synchronizing Event Processing

<#5071#> A complex operation, such as presenting a large contact tree, often takes the form of a ``chain reaction,'' wherein the input events which precipitate from contact actions are processed to invoke still more actions and events, etc. In order to synchronize its user interface, an application will sometimes need to wait until the complete chain of events has been processed before continuing the event loop. This synchronization of event processing is achieved by using the <#1641#>process-all-events<#1641#> function.
